Just In a Collision? 7 things you should know...

Were you, or someone that you know, just recently involved in an auto collision? Here are 7 things that you should know.

  1. Report accident to insurance company, who will assign you a claim number.
  2. Be advised of your legal right to choose the auto body shop for the repairs of your vehicle, despite any inference from the insurance company to use one of their company-approved shops. (Refer to "Customer's Rights" on the About Us page)
  3. If vehicle is not drivable, we will have it towed to our shop after you give authorization for its release.
  4. If vehicle is drivable, the insurance adjuster will write an estimate; you have three choices to accomplish this:
    1. Go to the drive-thru claims.
    2. Have adjuster come to your residence.
    3. Ideally, you can request the adjuster to come to our shop so Vico and Albert can assess the damages along with the adjuster and act on your behalf as your advocates to assure a thorough estimate is written.

  1. If rental vehicle is needed, our office will make arrangements to reserve one for you for the duration of your repairs.
  2. We will update you with status reports while vehicle is in our shop.
  3. Our goal is to make this experience as smooth as possible and remove excess burdens from you, our customer.
